1 I waited patiently upon the Lord; *
he stooped to me and heard my cry.
2 He lifted me out of the desolate pit, out of the mire and clay; *
he set my feet upon a high cliff and made my footing sure.
3 He put a new song in my mouth,
a song of praise to our God; *
many shall see, and stand in awe, and put their trust in the Lord.
Psalm 40:1-3

One of the many highlights of the 2015 Diocesan Convention was the Celebration of the Life of Bishop Mark Dyer. In another one of those “coincidences” Bishop Dyer was instrumental in the growth of the Diocese of Bethlehem and many of its priests and laity. After leaving the Diocese, he went on to be a major influence to Bishop Sean.
One of the highlights of the evening’s highlight was a musical offering featuring Bishop Dyer’s favorite music. Leading the way was “40” by U2, one of Bishop Mark’s favorite groups. The song is a prayerful rendition of Psalm 40 and made for a very moving experience.
